About

Krossbu Tourist Cabin is a private cabin, dating back to 1901. It is located in majestic surroundings by route 55 - the Sognefjellet road - the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe.

You will find more than twenty peaks over 2000 meter above sea level in the area close by. Smørstabbreen, one of the largest glaciers in Jotunheimen, is within walking distance from Krossbu. Possibilities for all kinds of mountain activities throughout the year; skiing, hiking, glacier hikes and fishing among other things.

There are also possibilities of cross country skiing at Sognefjellet in the spring, until the snow melts in june/july. 

The cabin can offer both rooms and camping sites for tents or caravans. Inside you can enjoy a nice dinner in the large diningroom or calm down in one of the pleasant lounges. Every morning they serve a solid Norwegian breakfast, and you are invited to make a package of sandwiches for the day`s excursion.
