Lom and Jotunheimen can tempt with a wide selection of local food from farmers, hunters and fishermen from the entire region. Old traditions and farm-to-table have always been an important part of the culture, and that is something that is still appreciated.
In the local grocery store "Smak i Lom", you can buy everything from handmade cheeses and cured sausages of reindeer, to raw pressed juice and real craft beer. In addition, you will also find a selection of local food at the Brimibue café and the grocery store Coop Extra. A little outside the center you will find Nordgard Aukrust, which grows organic vegetables, teas and spices. You can visit them in the summer, and usually the product can be found in the store shelves at Smak in Lom as well. Do you want to experience real summer farm life and learn how the food was made in the old days? Then you can visit Brimi Sæter, where they milk cows and make cheese, sour cream and the traditional "pultost" in the cheese factory.
