About

Fossheim Hotel is a historic and traditional hotel in the center of National Park Village Lom surrounded by the National Parks Jotunheimen, Breheimen and Reinheimen.

It offers accommodation in a peaceful atmosphere. In our restaurant you can enjoy both traditional Norwegian food and gourmet food founded on local produce harvested from steep mountains, great planes and fresh mountain lakes in our surrounding National parks.

The hotel Hotel started as an inn in 1897 by the Garmo Family that still runs the hotel. Hotel host and wine enthusiast Svein Garmo is the third generation owner of Fossheim. Together with his ​​daughter Heidrun, they take excellent care of our guests. Our hosts are proud to say that a visit to Fossheim Hotel is like a visit to our home. 

At Fossheim we strive to keep and maintain our long lived traditions. We are proud of our heritage, both in terms of all our historic buildings, woodcarvings, antiques and especially traditional Norwegian food. Try one of our chef courses where our masterchef will reveal some of his tricks .

Fossheim Hotel and Lom is a superb starting point for hiking in Jotunheimen. Spring skiing , hiking , mountain climbing , backcountry , peek climbing, canyoning , glacier hikes , white water rafting , culture and village walking, there is an alternative for people of all ages and with different physical condition. Or simply just exist, take in the sights and sounds, and enjoy life in Lom and Fossheim Hotel.

​​​Fossheim and Lom is a natural stop when traveling to and from the fjords, the midnight sun or the northern lights. Sognefjellsvegen FV55, Valdresflye FV51 or Strynefjellet RV15 all pass through Lom.
