About

The Glitterheim DNT cabin lays beneath Glittertind, encircled by a series of 2000-meter peaks. The Vole family awaits you with 137 beds and meals based on traditional food from the mountains.

Glitterheim has 137 beds. These are divided into 2-bedded rooms and, 4-bedded rooms, larger rooms and dormitories.

All beds have duvets and pillows. Please use your own sheets. It is also possible to put aside the duvet and use your own sleeping bag. Bed linen can be rented at the reception.

The cabin has hot and cold water in the main house and power supply (220v). It may still be okay to have a flashlight in the bag as the unit is switched off approx. kl. 23:00 in the evening. The sleeping building has toilets, showers and drying room.

From Glitterheim there is a nature trail for children and adults. On the nature trail you will learn more about plants, wildlife, traditions and former habitation in the area. Although Glitterheim lies both high and in rugged landscape, the area around the cabin is green and lush. Here you will find blueberry, cranberry and in the south wall of the hut the rhubarb grows.
