In Dumdalen you find a selection of 10.000-year-old limestone caves, formed during the last ice age. Are you ready for a discovery trail below the ground?

The river Dumma has dug down the ground for many thousands of years and created exciting formations and tunnels under the ground. There are 7-8 different caves that can be explored - and they offer both large halls and small passages. The caves lies in Dumdalen and are easily accessible from the scenic route over Sognefjellet (road rv 55)

The lush landscape of the valley where the caves lie, is lush and known for an unique flora. This valley is perfect for hiking for those who like to walk on top of the ground (as opposed to underground for those who prefer cave tours)

A trip to the Dumdal Caves is a nice activity on rainy days.
